Physalis

Physalis fruit contains organic acids (citric, malic, tartaric, succinic, caffeic, ferulic and becoming), tannins and bitter substances, pectin and mucus. There is sugar in berries, fat oil (in seeds), vitamin C and carotenoids. In food physalis is consumed fresh, salted and pickled. Deli jam and confectioneries are made of them.
